Photo taken on a geocaching adventure in the Tosohatchee Wildlife Management Area, this is what I think of as Pure Florida…

Gizmo was with me that day and he loved it as much as I did…

About Gizmo
Hi! I'm Gizmo...a handsome terrier-about-town with a distinct point of view. I will write about whatever interesting things come across my desk, appear on my twitter feed @GizmoGeodog, or meet me out on the geotrails.
I love to geocache cause it takes me to all the wild places & I can get back to being a real dog.
I care about all my brofurs & sisfurs who haven't found their own forever homes yet, & raise funds to help them whenever I can.
My girl brought me home from the shelter & together we explore our world. I do my best to make her smile, & she does her best for me. We are a team.
this is so exquisite that it almost looks like it was created with graphite or pen and ink. I love it!
Thank you…sometimes the things that look good in color take on a magical look in B&W
Wow, geocaching in there must truly be a challenge! Beautiful photo. Like you replied to catchatcaren some shots do take on a magical quality in b&w! Good job. Happy Sunday!
LOL That’s the motto of the Florida Geocaching Association…it’s on the t-shirts…Geocaching With a Challenge! It does have its moments Thanks and a Happy Christmas to you and yours from Gizmo & Beth
That’s a cool picture.
Millie
Thank you! We do love our wild Florida
Wow, that looks like a wild and wooly place. Happy Christmas to you guys too!
It was a bit rugged and sometimes hard to follow the trail (yes there was really a trail through that 🙂 ) We were very reliant on our GPS to get us through
Gizmo, that IS pure Florida!!! I love that photo, pal! I hope you had a great time on your geocaching adventure!
That trip was the hardest one I ever did…Took two whole days and ended with a boat ride at night…But I had so much fun
You geocache too? Cool! I hardly ever find anyone who actually geocaches… most people have no clue what I’m talking about!
I LOVE the photo, and it looks like a really beautiful place! Wish I lived nearer so I could visit!
Hannah (Animal Tails – blog)
Yes Gizmo & I both geocache…I’ve emailed you about it separately…I’ve been caching since 2005 and have been to two Geowoodstocks…This year Geowoodstock will be here where we live…Wish you were able to come…it would be great to meet you
what a cool picture. we love “pure” Florida too. My mom lives in Ocala so we venture to the forest frequently when we visit. Geo caching is such fun too!!
I love the ONF…I’ve spent many day hiking, jeeping and geocaching there…There’s hundreds of geocaches all over the forest and along the Florida Trail…you should give it a try
Merry Christmas! That looks like a very difficult place to hike! Photo is great!
Happy Christmas to you and your family…It is not the easiest hike but it is so beautiful it makes up for it
I’m glad you and Gizmo have something to do that deepens the bonding between you two.
I love being off in the jungle with Gizmo & he seems to enjoy it every bit as much as I do
Looks pretty cool!
It really isa strange and wondrous jungle Happy Christmas from Gizmo & Beth
Hey Gizzy! That tree is crazy!!!! It looks even more abstract turning it black and white.
It’s amazing what Nature puts together sometimes…Happy Christmas to you and your family Kirbster!
Lovely B&W photo
Merry Christmas
Cotton
Thank you Cotton…Mom & I wish you and your family a very happy Christmas
Hey Giz, Jet here. Hi Miss JG.
That’s magnificent.
Thank you friends 🙂
wonderful photo! one of the things mom and dad like about Florida is all of the exotic vegetation growing where ever it can.
As they said on Hill Street Blues “Be careful…It’s a jungle out there” and it never stops growing *snoogles*
