The day this was shot was a big day for me – my first trip to the dog beach at Honeymoon Island State Park. This photo captures a major moment…my very first time to dip my paw into the Gulf of Mexico. Look how wide my eyes are…clearly I wasn’t too sure about this.

Hiya Zena! It was scary but my furrienddog Sparky was there too & I couldn’t let her see me not being brave…Water is not really a terrier’s element is it…after all we’re EARTH dogs! Your poodle brofur will like it a lot better I think *snoogles*

My mom loves the beach so I had to give it a try for her…Truth is I liked the sand a lot bettr than the water 🙂

I never went to a beach. Mom doesn’t like the sand. I went to a lake once and didn’t even want to put my paws in the water much less go for a swim. Mom says that terriers are ratters and are known for running along the shoreline. Dry land is fine for me. You are one brave dog.

Mom was in the water and I swam out to her, but not very far…I like hikes in the woods a whole lot better…it’s that earth dog thing
